Las Vegas Luxury Rentals - Las Vegas Hertz Rental Car?
Las Vegas Luxury Rentals - I’m going to Las Vegas tommorrow, and am renting a full - size car at Hertz.
They told me to ride the shuttle at terminal 1 and 2 (either one, I’m guessing) that will transport me to the rental car center.
I want to have a quick - lunch at airport so that I don’t have to spend much time waiting, but am worried I might miss the shuttle.
How do shuttles work? Do they leave w/o me if I don’t show up? How long do they wait? How often do they come to the airport to pick me up? I look forward to your reply las vegas nv rentals.

uh the vegas airport is so small–you dont need a shuttle…they may be talking about a shuttle that takes you from one part of the airport to the main terminal and tehn you can walk to the baggage area which is where…as i recall the hertz counter is located. so go there if you checked bags and you will see the agencies they may have to “shuttle” you to the car…but i wouldnt worry..as for lunch NEVER eat at the aiprot overpriced and never good.
The LV AP now offers a shuttle to the car rental center. Just look for the Rental shuttle. One shuttle takes you to the shuttle center were All of the rentals are centered. NO PROBLEM.
The rental center was opened a few months ago and all of the rental companies are located at the area the are the shuttle takes you to.
Enjoy LV.
No worry. Go ahead and have lunch if you wish. However, there are not a lot of good dining options at the airport. If I were you, I would wait until I got into town to eat.
The car rental shuttles don’t wait for you. However, they run continuously during the day. If you miss one, just wait - the next will come by in a few minutes. All that you have to do is look for the signs that direct you to the shuttles, wait by the sign, and hop on.
All the agencies use the same shuttle. They run continuously 24/7. There is always a shuttle waiting and doesn’t leave until the next one arrives. So don’t worry. The same works in reverse when you drop the car off there will be a shuttle waiting to take you to the airport. Remember they don’t have separate shuttles for different dealers, they all use the same.
Most of the shuttle services for airport car rental location either run in a continuous cycle (every 15 minutes or so) or there would be a service phone to call for shuttle service.

I was in LAS in feb of 2008, the car rental center is easy to find before and after the flight and car rental experience. The shuttle is free and easy to find outside the baggage claim area, enjoy your snack and have fun, Circus Circus (slots-of-fun) offers a huge Hot dog for $5. and its easy to locate on the strip.
The rental car shuttles run about every three to five minutes. There’s often two or three buses lined up at a time and as they fill, they go. They’re not there just for you - almost all the rental car agencies are in one building and they all use one shuttle system.
BTW - don’t eat at the airport. In the main terminal, there’s sucky food choices - a mexican joint that has weird hours, a GROSSLY overpriced deli, and a bar that offers cold sandwiches and salads - premade - for $10 a pop. The other terminals have some choices - but I wouldn’t hesitate to head over to baggage claim. You don’t want your stuff walking off without you.
