Rental Cars Las Vegas - Car Rental at Hotels in Las Vegas?
Rental Cars Las Vegas - Going to Vegas in two days and I want to rent a car to go road triping a day or two while I’m there. I’ve heard that you can rent a car from some hotels for as little as $20 for the day. I’m staying at the New York-New York Hotel. Just wondering if this is true and if you have to be a guest of that hotel for that offer or is there any other cheaper options out there. Lowest one I can find online is $30/day at Payless Car Rental. Thanks for your help las vegas nv rentals!
I will be there for 5 days, so I’ll have plenty of time to see Vegas as well as have some time to go driving around outside of Vegas.

Renting a car at any hotel is easy and cheap..Just go to the counter in the casino and rent one..Doesn’t matter where you are staying
The prices is the price whether at the airport or at the hotel, except you have an extra small charge for the airport convenience.IF you are staying only two days then thinking you will day trip both is unrealistic if you want to enjoy why you came to Vegas in the first place. You really don’t need a car on the Strip, just walk or ride the bus (cabs can add up). Take the hotel shuttle to NYNY from the airport, etc. Going to Grand Canyon AZ will take the entire day, going to Hoover Dam is easier if you just take the bus tour and not get tired from the drive, and any other day trip would be cutting into your Vegas experience. There is lots to do on The Strip without gambling, go to and see. Examples -Shark Reef Mandalay BayMadame Trousaud Wax Museum ParisGuggenheim Museum VenitianSigfried & Roy’s Secret Garden (tigers dolphines) MirageSculture Museum and Art Museum BellagioLion Exhibit (free) MGM GrandGondolar Ride VenetianSee do that, eat at a restaurant, see one of the Cirque shows or Bette or Joust dinner hosw, gamble, sleep in, go to a night club, you don’t need to take a day trip.
Your really better off renting a car at the airport.
It will be way cheaper to do so.
However, most major car rental companies have off strip locations in the major casinos/hotels.
Go to each ones website, such as Budget, Alamo, Enterprise, Thrifty, etc.
and find the best deal for yourself.
Here’s a tip for you too.
Do not spring for the extra insurance they want to sell you.
If you have good insurance for your personal car, your covered with a rental too.
Plus any major bankcard, which you will need to a car with anyway, will cover you too.
I always rent a car in Vegas.
Last fall I was there for 5 days, and Alamo charged me only $150.00 for a compact car rental, including tax.
